This comparison was checked in October 2026. It is about Heidi as an AI medical scribe and Reach + Within as practice software that includes a consent-based drafting tool. It does not use Heidi’s logo. It does not claim that Heidi has no practice-management features beyond the way Heidi describes itself.
Heidi’s pricing page at https://www.heidihealth.com/en-us/pricing listed plan names when we fetched it on 4 October 2026: Free, Evidence, Clinician and Enterprise. The HTML we received did not include dollar amounts for those plans. A Heidi article, https://www.heidihealth.com/blog/medical-scribes-solutions, stated Evidence Plus at USD $30 a month and Clinician at USD $110 per user a month. Those article figures are what we can cite. They are not a table we read off the pricing page itself. Check both URLs before you buy. We are not using any other Heidi price.
Reach + Within’s UK price for therapists and group practices is from £60 a month per clinician. Admin, finance and management users are free. That price is for the practice system, not for a scribe alone.
What each product is for
Heidi presents itself as an AI medical scribe: it listens, and it drafts clinical documentation. Practices use scribes beside an existing diary and record. That is a coherent product. If your notes are the bottleneck and your bookings and invoices already work, a scribe can be the whole purchase.
Reach + Within is the diary, the invoice and the record together. Assist is the drafting part. With the client’s consent, a session can be recorded and Assist can draft bullet-point notes, a summary, follow-ups or themes. The clinician reviews, edits and signs. Assist does not diagnose and it never signs. Without consent, you write the note yourself. Recording is optional.
The consent order is set out in recording therapy sessions and in AI session notes. UK GDPR still applies to a recording whether a vendor is a scribe or a full system. The GDPR guide is the practical overview, and it is not legal advice.
Price, carefully
We will not invent a Heidi price to fill the gap on the pricing page. If you use the article’s figures, Evidence Plus was USD $30 a month and Clinician was USD $110 per user a month. Our UK seat is £60 a month per clinician for Reach and Within, not for a scribe subscription on top of another system. A practice that already pays for practice management and then adds a scribe is paying two bills. A practice that replaces both with us is paying one. Those are different decisions. Do not add the numbers across currencies and call the sum a saving.
Where Heidi is a better fit
Choose Heidi if you want an AI medical scribe next to software you already trust, and if the plan names on Heidi’s pricing page (and the article’s published dollar figures, if you rely on them) match a notes-only problem. Choose it if you do not want to move your diary, your invoices and your record at the same time. A clinician who is happy with their current practice system, and who wants a dedicated scribe with its own free tier on that pricing page, should trial Heidi.
Where Reach + Within is a better fit
Choose Reach + Within if the scribe is not the whole job. If enquiries, onboarding, bookings, invoices and the signed note need to be one client, a scribe beside a second product leaves the double entry in place. Admin users are free here. The PA can book and bill and cannot open the note. Role-based access and an audit trail are part of the system. A secure family report link shares an approved report, not the session.

How to decide
Write one sentence: “I need a scribe” or “I need the practice system”. If it is the first, start with Heidi’s pricing page and confirm the live price, because we could not read amounts in the page HTML on 4 October 2026. If it is the second, use the 30-day Reach + Within trial with demo clients and no card, and read how to choose practice management software so the other practice systems stay in view.
